Nickfest to turn the town orange

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa's biggest family festival is back.

Families should embrace themselves as the biggest family festival, NickFest, is set to take over town.

This is thanks to Nickelodeon, DStv channel 305, in partnership with Glen21 Entertainment and KinderJoy to bring back NickFest.
President and managing director of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa, Alex Okosi, said, “We are very excited to reignite this unique kids and family franchise in South Africa and to entertain families through on-the-ground experiences that complement our TV offering.”

The two-day festival is said to be bigger and better as it will welcome thousands of children along with their families to the TicketPro Dome on 25 and 26 March next year.
The amazing weekend will be infused with music and family fun, packed with entertainment, activities, events and experiences for all ages.

The festival is known for bringing families together with their unique combination of live music from the country’s A-listers, character shows, and appearances by Nickelodeon superstars SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol, and for the very first time, Shimmer and Shine.
Children, along with their parents, can also look forward to the KinderJoy interactive area which showcases the Magic Kinder app and a special appearance by the KinderJoy mascot Kinderino.

During the two-day festival, the TicketPro Dome will be completely transformed into a Nickelodeon wonderland inspired by the channel’s colourful on-screen worlds.
With two sessions each day, from morning sessions starting at 9am and afternoon sessions at 3pm.

Tasania Parsadh, channel director of Nickelodeon Africa said, “We are delighted to bring NickFest back to the country for the second time, bigger and better than ever – providing a fun-filled day out for kids and their families to enjoy together. NickFest is a unique entertainment experience that brings to life the Nickelodeon, NickToons and Nick Jr. brands all under one roof.”
