Step into the most terrifying Halloween experience ever

RIVERSANDS – Wondering where to spend your Halloween? Read to find out where you and your family can enjoy pure haunting fun.

Community members are invited to experience a true Halloween at the Riversands Farm Village.

The community can expect to step into a never-before-seen world of chills and thrills, screams and horror dreams, ghosts and ghouls and scares when doors open at 12pm.

Picnics in the Park is set to bring a true mystery, horror, and scare factor of Halloween to life with The Haunted Forest.

The farm village has been converted into another world and those who dare can participate in a haunted forest walk where they will wind through giant ghost spiders, a field of frightful scarecrows, a freak show, the bloody butcher shop, and so much more.

“A Halloween event of this scale has never been done before in the country. Precision and attention to detail has been given to each and every creation, which will leave all attendees’ senses reeling. The walk will be broken up into sections with themes which will feature in all our worst nightmares. From witches, to demons, to purely horrid humans, the haunted forest walk will be the highlight of every person’s Halloween this year,” the organisers of the event explained.

The organisers added that staying true to all Picnics in the Park events, the scary movies suggested for the day are: one for children, one for a mixture of people, and one for adults. “Our followers cast their votes on Picnics in the Park’s Facebook page and have decided on Hotel Transylvania, Beetlejuice and The Conjuring to make our petrifying trio.”

You are encouraged to get dressed up and bring the whole family along for this all-ages event. To compliment the terrifying adult activities there will be tons on offer for the children which will include trick or treats, face-painting, Playscapes jungle gyms, a petting zoo and of course Hotel Transylvania.

Tickets to the scary fun-filled event are R180 for adults; children between the age of 13 to 18 pay R100; children between the ages two to 12 pay R60 and children under the age of two enter free.
