David defeats Goliath at Comedy Central Roast Battle

MAGALIESSIG – Find out which Goliath was defeated in the recent Comedy Central Roast Battle.

A David versus Goliath clash was the order of the day in the latest Comedy Central Roast battle recently, as comedian Dave Levinsohn came out victorious in the fourth episode of the roast battle.

This all took place at Parker’s Comedy & Jive at Montecasino, as comedians were armed with deadly insults, barbed one-liners and wicked wisecracks to see who roasts the best.

Levinsohn was engaged in unarmed combat with fellow comedians Nicholas Goliath, Lazola Gola, Neil Green, Vittorio Leonardi and Yaaseen Barnes.

The comedy competitors battled it out before competing in a three-way roast-off in front of emcee for the evening, radio host Ayanda ‘MVP’ Mdluli, and media personality Khaya Dlanga, who was this month’s celebrity judge.

After a gruesome roast with Lazola Gola, a victorious Levinsohn lifted the winner’s trophy up high and now joins a list of previous roast battle winners, including Richlieu Beaunoir, Dillon Oliphant and Schalk Bezuidenhout in the hotly anticipated roast battle grand final later this year.

Comedy Central’s Roast battle was recorded in front of a live audience and will premiere on Comedy Central (DStv Channel 122) later in the year.
