Family and friends came in their numbers to participate in Steyn City’s inaugural Fun Run.
In collaboration with Trail Adventure, Steyn City hosted a 2.3km and 6km run. The day was filled with trail adventures and participants received medals for completing their race.
Marie Yossava, public relations of Steyn City said, “The Man Cave [SABC3 TV show] crew were present at the fun run as they took footage of the show’s new presenter, Alex Caige, for their next episode which will highlight Steyn City’s lifestyle resort. Setting himself a tough pace while enjoying the natural surrounds of Steyn City and its magnificent parklands, Alex too [along with many runners] asked if Steyn City would host more similar events.”
She added that visitors and residents joined in for a fun and active morning. “From grandparents to newborns, this was the ideal outdoor activity for all to enjoy while being able to appreciate the unique lifestyle offering at Steyn City, as there were kilometres of walking, jogging and cycling tracks amid outdoor gyms, children’s play nodes and other recreational activities, the list is as long as my arm,” said Yossava.
Derek Alberts, SuperSport, Radio 702 and 94.7 sports presenter expressed that it was the best run he had ever done within a gated community. “Steyn City has gone beyond and above my expectations and I hope they will host more events of this kind,” he said.
