Actor, Tumisho Masha and wife, Zozibini, celebrated their child, Zinathi’s, first birthday at Steyn City on 16 July.
The Dainfern residents expressed that they were overjoyed that their daughter had reached such a milestone in her life. “It is so funny how one person can come into your life and change it completely,” the proud mother, Zozibini quipped.
“At first when my daughter was born, it felt like she was borrowed [sic] to me but her turning one makes me see it as more permanent now, as I don’t know how my life was without her.
“The most important thing that we, as her parents, plan to do is give her strength of character as a young black female growing [sic] in this country and also to give her security on who she is by not letting anyone define who she has to be.”
Talking about the hopes for her daughter taking up an acting career, Masha expressed that if acting and presenting is what his daughter wants to do one day, he will fully support it. “If she wants to become an actor one day, I will be very excited for her as I think acting is an amazing career choice. But if she wants to do something else, it is also okay with me, as long as her career choice makes her happy,” he expressed.
Family and friends were also present to celebrate their daughter’s birthday.
“We are happy to have the closest and dearest people in our lives here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday which means a lot to us, as we are brought together because of a blessing which is our daughter, Zinathi,” he concluded.
