Cycle for a purpose with Border Collie Rescue

FOURWAYS – Border Collie Rescue is letting the dogs out for the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge.

Border Collie Rescue (BCR), a non-profit organisation which rehomes unwanted border collies, is looking for 20 cyclists to ride for a purpose and cycle for their organisation in the upcoming Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge which will take place on 20 November.

Established in 1997, the organisation aims to educate the public about the border collie, find adoptive homes for those furry friends who are unwanted, provide rehabilitation for abused border collies, and provide foster homes for those who are abondoned. The organisation also aims to continuously raise funds to cover its operating costs.

Organisations and cyclists who pledge their support can display their company’s name and logo on the BCR event cycling shirts.

Riders will enjoy a dedicated early starting time, route support by the two- and four-legged friends, a hospitality tent at the finish line, a great BCR team cycling shirt and much more.

Prizes will be awarded to riders who raise the most funds.

Those interested can pledge to raise R2 000 per adult rider and R1 500 for U18 riders as they lend BCR their legs at the event.
