Annual wine show set to rock Joburg

With a plethora of delectable wines on show, the Tops at Spar Wine Show is back and is set to be luxurious affair.

The main event will take place from 12 to 14 May and will be host to some of the most exciting established and up-and-coming wine brands in South Africa. Starting in 2006, the show has become one of South Africa’s fastest-growing consumer wine exhibitions with events being held in Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria.

Marketing manager of the show, Kate Louw said, “Back in Johannesburg for its 11th consecutive year, the event engages wine lovers of all ages and ilk to try and buy the country’s best bottles directly from wine producers.”

With this year’s theme being ‘The Greatest Show Unearthed’, the event will give wine connoisseurs a vintage burlesque experience with hundreds of wine exhibitors and edu-tainment activities.

Louw added, “Highlights not to be missed include two popular wine theatres that present a series of interactive tasting talks hosted by industry experts and wine personalities.”

Tickets can be purchased before the show for R160 from www.wineshow.co.za or at the door for R180. The entrance fee includes a crystal tasting glass, all tastings, and access to both wine theatres.
