Ribs ‘N Steak on Douglas opens in Douglasdale

DOUGLASDALE - Read up and get excited about the new restaurant which has recently opened in Douglasdale and promises quality cuisine.

 

Launched only one month ago, Ribs ‘N Steak on Douglas has already shaken up the food industry with their delicious mouth-watering meals.

The masterminds behind the new restaurant are Earl Joubert, owner of Wimpy Douglasdale, and Paul McNab, owner of Thundergun Blackheath.

Together, they have joined forces to give the residents of Douglasdale and Fourways a taste of the winning Thundergun recipe with their new offering – Ribs ‘N Steak on Douglas.

Located in the Douglasdale Shopping Centre on the corner of Leslie Avenue and Douglas Drive, the restaurant is a breath of fresh air among many of the fast-food outlets in the area.

Joubert and McNab have built up their reputations for customer satisfaction and interaction, as well as great food and value for money.

The duo have over 38 years collectively in the food industry and felt that the area really needed a good old-fashioned steak and rib restaurant with big portion sizes, good value for money meals as well as a relaxed and warm atmosphere.

“We decided to open in the Pick n Pay centre in Douglasdale – one of the top centres in the Fourways area – since this would make us accessible to most residents,” Joubert said.

No stranger to good service, Joubert’s Wimpy Douglasdale has also won numerous awards for excellence over the past 10 years and is well known to the Douglasdale community.

Joubert, together with his wife Wendy, have always believed that if the food is great and the service is excellent, customers will always come back.

“We have always loved food, and the preparation thereof, and enjoy trying out different recipes and coming up with a winning formula. With the Thundergun touch, we’re confident that we’ll be able to give customers the best ribs and steaks in the area.”

Ribs ‘N Steak on Douglas is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and offers a full homemade carvery from Friday to Monday.
