As winter approaches, don’t throw in the weight loss towel

JOBURG - Summer bodies are made in winter, are you ready to stay on top of weight gain?

Most people are prone to picking up weight in winter when cold, dark evenings beg one to have an extra bowl of warm pudding or another glass of wine and then we hide the weight under big jerseys and jackets.

According to Gert Coetzee – owner of The Diet that Everyone Talks About, which is a scientific carbohydrate-controlled 10-week lifestyle programme that is only accessible at select pharmacies and beauty clinics by professional clinicians – summer bodies are made in winter. Winter is perfect for people to stay focused on putting healthy and nutritional food into their bodies and staying active.

The programme states that you have to make sure your fridge is stocked with healthy food to help you shed those extra kilogrammes, stay toned and to take up walking, hiking or cycling.

You should also keep your gym bag in your car at all times so that whenever you have a spare moment, you are prepared for a quick workout as 15 minutes of exercise is better than no exercise.
