Food and Ferrari’s in Fourways

FOURWAYS - There's something new coming to Fourways and it's the best of authentic Italian cuisine and motoring.

Rossa, owned by Ezio Nichele and Elton Lau, is a restaurant franchise that was born in 2010 out of Nichele’s passion for food, his experience as a chef and restaurateur in Italy and South Africa, and the delicious pizza his mom packed in his lunch box when he was at school.

The new restaurant, Broadacres Locanda Rossa, is part of a new line of chain restaurants and the concept is simple Italian food made the Italian way – with their authentic, imported ingredients – and an amazing atmosphere.

Kyra Cason, marketing manager of the new Rossa, said the new restaurant in the franchise produced only original Italian cuisine for those who craved the taste of Italia.

“I think the concept is unlike any Italian restaurant out there, purely because our square original Italian pizzas and food makes us stand out,” said Cason.

“Original square pizzas date back to the early 1800s and has been a firm favourite for Italians since then and grew in popularity, and now you find them everywhere you go. But to find original Italian pizza you would need to come to Rossa.”

The new Rossa invited loyal Ferrari-owning guests and their families for lunch for the launch of the restaurant.

Authentic Italian was what it was all about, and there was no better way to pre-launch the new restaurant than by rolling out a procession of more than 20 gleaming red Ferrari’s before their owners took their seats at the Locanda Rossa for some original square pizzas and Italian cuisine.

It was an enjoyable day for all who sat down to a meal and even for those who were able to ogle at the valuable luxury sports cars in the parking lot.
