Chester is Missing at Joburg Theatre

JOBURG - South Africa's most notorious and outspoken puppet, Chester Missing, will present his hilarious new show with Conrad Koch from 20 October to 7 November titled Missing, at the Joburg Theatre.

As always, Missing will be accompanied by his faithful sidekick, Conrad Koch, who is, in fact, the voice of the puppet.

Koch also insists on dragging two other puppets around with the controversial duo including Ronnie, the monster, who has been known to try sell drugs to audience members, and Koch’s life coach and mentor, Charles Hilary, the vodka-soaked ostrich. While the other two members who accompany the infamous puppet are not as well known, there is no doubt they will deliver some hard-hitting humour to audiences.

The puppet, like many South Africans, has some unanswered questions that he poses to audience members such as: ‘Where are we going?’, ‘Who are we?’, ‘Will Jacob Zuma pay back the money?’ and ‘Why is there a white guy keeping him in a suitcase?’ Will Missing find himself or will he stay Missing?

Ironically, Missing has gone missing on two different occasions this year – the first during a flight from Tanzania in May and the most recent on a connecting flight from France after the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, which they attended with fellow funny man, Donovan Goliath.

Brought to life by Koch, this revolutionary dummy is well known for his often outrageous, punch-packing, funny and frank views on the current state of affairs in South Africa.

Koch and Missing are members of the two-time international Emmy-nominated LNN team and Missing was one of New African Magazine’s Most Influential Africans for 2014, and they’re one of South Africa’s most in-demand comedy talents at the moment.

Catch them at Joburg Theatre from 20 October to 7 November.
