Sold-out duo keep crowd on their feet

JOBURG - It was a sold-out event at the TicketPro Dome where Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds and Toni Braxton gave Joburg a show to remember.

An exclusively international concert, Babyface was the unofficial ‘opening act’ of the show.

The legendary singer had fans of all ages on their feet with the performance of his hit songs Everytime I Close My Eyes, End Of The Road and many more.

Following a 30-minute break, preceded by her sisters Trina and Towanda, who are co-stars of the hit prime time E Entertainment TV show, Braxton Family Values, Braxton made her way onto the stage.

With Toni in the lead, the sisters sang a number of smash hit classics including Another Sad Love Song and He Wasn’t Man Enough.

Showing their sisterly love, Toni gave Trina some time on stage to perform her own song Party or Go Home.

In a shock move, both Babyface and Braxton made their way into the audience to interact with their fans – Braxton even more so as she had more than eight fans join her on stage to sing along with her and show her some real love. Braxton even invited a couple on stage who are in their 20th year of marriage.

Finally, it was time to give the people what they came for.

Babyface made his way back onto the stage to join Baxter in a number of their duets including Hurt You and Roller Coaster.

The duo had the highest-selling international album in South Africa last year. They were awarded on stage with the music record sales certification that confirmed that their album had since gone double platinum in South Africa.

Braxton ended the show with the showstopper, Un-break My Heart which had all those attempting to leave, stop in their tracks and boogie to the final number.
