JOBURG - Here's your guide to what's on around Joburg for the Easter weekend.

The Easter weekend can sometimes become somewhat boring if you’re stuck in Joburg, but with a plethora of things to do it doesn’t have to be.

Witchfest will be held at Bassline – the venue for all metal music fans to be this weekend from 3 April to 5 April. Witchfest is set to be the biggest metal music gathering in South African history. There will be bands such as Skinned, Mind Assault and Bile of Man performing throughout the weekend, to the delight of metal fans around the country.

The Rand Easter Show is back at Nasrec Expo Centre and is one of the most exciting and anticipated expo’s of the year featuring activities to entertain everyone from mom to grandma, to the kiddies. The expo will showcase some of the best products and services in the country for the entire family to enjoy.

The show will run from 3 April to 12 April.

P.O.P. Art will not be missing its weekly stand-up comedy show, The Box. The line-up for this weekend includes the likes of Siya B, Dave Levinsohn, Farhan Esat and more. Cover charge for this show is only R50 and the comedians will no doubt deliver a side-splitting show to brighten the worst of Sundays.

The show starts at 7.30 pm and tickets are available at P.O.P. Art.

With so many fun things to do for the entire family, there’s no reason for you to be bored this Easter.
