De Villiers will bring an instrumental show with the piano as the centre piece to Pieter Toerien’s studio theatre at Montecasino from 18 March to 12 April. The show is a celebration of the most beautiful melodies, some sentimental, while others nostalgic, modern, old-fashioned, quirky, funny, heavy, tragic and sad. De Villiers will share the very intimate studio theatre with actress, Lauren Botha.
His latest album The Beautiful Collection will provide most of the music for the show.
De Villiers’ CDs, DVDs and sheet music for piano will be on sale at the shows. The shows are all 90 minutes long and do not have an interval. The performances are mostly in English with a little Afrikaans.
Performance times are Wednesday to Friday at 8.15 pm, Saturday at 5.15 pm and 8.15pm and Sunday at 3.15pm.
