Starting things off with a bang, ‘Cliffmas Carols’ will be held at the Montecasino outdoor piazza in aid of Headway Gauteng, an organisation dedicated to offering support programmes to survivors of brain injury and their families. Gareth Cliff and his 5FM team will lead an ensemble of talented performers, including Danny K, Jen Su, DJ Wags, and the Soweto Gospel Choir in the one-night-only performance.
For shopaholics, the XmasXpo brings an Italian Christmas market to Montecasino for three days. The expo will be divided into sections for children, health and beauty, home and decor, pets, crafts, stocking fillers and food. Expect colourful exhibitions and a plethora of special goodies on sale.
Montecasino has a jam-packed schedule of entertainment and activities during the December holidays. From 6 December there will be free screenings of festive season movies on the outdoor piazza’s big screen.
The Montecasino Playground-Holiday Fun brings an assortment of non-stop games, competitions, jumping castles, face-painting and more to children between the ages of two to 14.
For families the spectacular production, Sleeping Beauty on Ice will dazzle audiences at the Teatro from 5 December to 12 January, while serious ‘theatrephiles’ will be riveted by Blood Brothers at the Pieter Toerien Theatre until 5 January.
For entertainment on the wild side, the Montecasino Bird Gardens is offering a holiday programme from 9 to 20 December that will delight and educate young visitors.
