For once there is a sport heading this side where athleticism is not a requirement, but the rewards can be life changing.
Montecasino is calling on all slots enthusiasts to be part of Tsogo Sun’s inaugural Slots Factor National Championships, which they launched to much fanfare on 11 July at the 3Sixty Lounge.
From 14 July to 21 September, the stakes in the first ever countrywide slots tournament are high with R1 Million guaranteed to the ultimate winner, and more than 1.3 Million for grabs for the top 10 national scorers.
Qualifying rounds will run at all 14 of Tsogo Sun’s casinos over the eight week period from 14 July to 5 September.
To enter, players need to purchase entry into the tournament through Computicket prior to the tournament start time and register at the Slots Factor Desk from 4.30pm each day. The buy in is a mere R100.
In Gauteng, qualifying heats will be hosted at Montecasino five days a week (Sunday to Thursday) from 6pm with a maximum of 15 heats per day and contestants are allowed one buy in per heat.
The top 12 scorers in each heat will win 200 gaming credits for use after the tournament.
The top 15 scorers at the end of each week will qualify for the semi-finals to be hosted at each casino on Saturday 14 September.
Each casino’s top three scorers for the semi-finals will win R20 000, R10 000 and R5 000 respectively and the top 12 credit scorers on the day will compete in the national finals taking place at Montecasino on 21 September, where the person with the fastest fingers will walk away with R1 Million.
