Crawford Gamer Fest ignites passion and creativity

Crawford International Fourways recently hosted its first-ever Crawford Gamer Fest, which is an eSports tournament that brought together ten schools from across Gauteng for an exhilarating day of competition.

Held on September 7, the event was powered and set up by RGB Gaming, featuring popular games such as Minecraft and Fortnite, drawing enthusiastic gamers eager to showcase their skills and compete for the top prizes.

Tasneem Evans, Crawford Fourways client experience officer, explains that the level of creativity and teamwork on display was truly impressive, with each team showcasing its unique style and vision during the eSports tournament.

“Crawford International Fourways has been participating in eSports tournaments for the last two years and has had a lot of success. The school would like to be at the forefront of eSports in Gauteng and our partners, RGB Gaming, is making this possible by inviting other schools to compete against each other in a series of challenges.”

Throughout the tournament, the atmosphere was electric, with visitors cheering and showing their support for their school teams.

“The spirit of friendly competition was evident, with players congratulating each other on their successes. Visitors also got to enjoy Virtual Reality setups, AI photo booths, and XBOX games,” added Evans.

The Crawford Gamer Fest was a rousing success, bringing together students from different schools to compete in a friendly and exciting environment.

The event was a testament to the power of gaming to foster camaraderie and teamwork and to showcase the skills and creativity of the next generation of gamers.
