Local rugby coach hopes to produce future national team players at Blue Bulls

The new Blue Bulls U16 team manager said his aim was to work hard to develop young talent and produce future national rugby stars that will play at the national level one day.

Heronbridge College teacher and junior rugby head coach at the school Liso Langman has described his appointment as new Blue Bulls U16 team manager as an honour and privilege for him.

Langman said his aim was to work hard to develop young talent and produce future national rugby stars that will play at the national level one day.

He previously worked as a rugby coach at schools such as Queens High School, Parktown Boys High School and Pridwin Preparatory School developing and nurturing young talent.

“To be selected a team manager at the best rugby union in the country is a huge honour for me. The Blue Bulls High Schools Association has produced some of the finest schoolboy talent in our country. As a young man from Masizakhe Township in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, to be a part of this kind of thing is unheard of.”

Langman said he hopes to inspire many young men and women to be the best they can be and to dream big.

“It gives me great pride to be able to serve the game that has given me so much. I am really excited about what the future holds. At Heronbridge College we have taken a clear stance on sports development and becoming the best school in the Fourways area. I also hope this will help me grow in my personal capacity as coach and administrator.”
