Soccer players are ready to kick it

DIEPSLOOT – Siyajabula Soccer Freestylers, coach Emmanuel Khoza said that for now, they were playing friendlies, however, any team that wishes to challenge them will have them prepare.


The Midrand development soccer club, Siyajabula Soccer Freestylers, kicked off a day of games on 17 April ahead of the start of the Rand Central Local Football Association League.

Siyajabula played against TS Sporting at the Safe Hub football pitch in Diepsloot.

The Midrand side’s coach, Emanuel Khoza said the U12s played against their competitors for the first time. They lost the game 0–1.

“We had only trained for a month, however, seeing how the boys played our performance was not too bad. We saw what adjustments needed to be done for the boys to produce better results in their upcoming games,” he added.

The U14 boys’ team also lost their game with a 0–2 scoreline.

In the last match of the day, Midrand boys’ U16s won their game 6–1. Khoza welcomed the victory saying that although the other team put pressure on them, the senior team was able to handle the pressure.

“For now we are playing friendlies, any team that wishes to challenge us will have us prepare for them.”

Khoza concluded that the Rand Central Local Football Association league would resume soon, then they would play every week.
