Schillers continue to share exercise tips

SUNNINGHILL – Local physiotherapist teaches us how to do a good abdominal exercise.

One can strengthen their stomach muscles through an exercise shared by Sunninghill physiotherapist Olivia Schiller and her husband Max.The pair have been posting free exercise videos online to help people exercise at home during the lockdown.The exercise video starts with Max lying on his back on an exercise mat.

Schiller instructs Max to put his hands behind his head and lift his head and legs.”Keeping them [the legs] as straight as possible, and you do an opposite elbow to knee, staying up,” Schiller explained in the video.While still holding his head with his hands, Max touches his knees with his elbows.

This is much like crunches or sit-ups but has a more dynamic movement.”Just looking at your belly button, not using your neck,” Schiller added, while Max continued touching elbow to knee, elbow to knee.

Recent exercise videos the pair have uploaded included an advancement of the side plank and the roll up exercises.
