Runs as records tumble

MIDRAND– Read how Beaulieu College did in their recent cricket match.

 

Beaulieu College‘s Taheer Isaacs and Joshua Williams set a school record opening wicket stand of 285 against Midrand High School.

Taheer also celebrated a very proud moment when he set a new school record for the highest individual score of 253 not out, off just 103 balls.

Joshua fell for 78 off 68 balls during the partnership and Dal Piarro Langford contributed 90 off just 48 balls in Beaulieu’s astonishing 534/4 declared in 45 overs.

Joshua was at it again with the ball taking 7/9 in a four-over spell in a humiliating 491-run win.

Meanwhile, the celebrations continued when Beaulieu College’s junior team played against Midrand High School. Beaulieu batted first and reached a total of 199/4 in 20 overs. Fawaaz Kahder top scored with 106 off just 41 balls.

In reply, Midrand only managed to score 57 all out. Beaulieu’s Khiyaan Narandas and Kieran Cameron were the pick of the bowlers picking up four wickets apiece. Beaulieu won by 142 runs.
