Know your route ahead of the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge

FOURWAYS – Do you know which roads will be closed for the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge? Read to find out.

Residents are urged to take note of road closures ahead of the annual Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge on 19 November.

The closures will be set up from midnight on 18 November and roads affected will officially start closing at 4.30am.

Motorists who will be commuting in the area are advised to remain patient during the cycle race and abide by all road closures while finding an alternative route.

There will be complete road closures which will give cyclists the freedom of the city for the day and a once-a-year chance to experience the streets of Johannesburg without any vehicles on the roads.

The cycle challenge will start and finish at Riversands Commercial Park, as thousands of cyclists try on a tough yet exhilarating 947km ride around the city.
