A new game for the Dainfern Lions in Fourways
FOURWAYS – Vodacom stores from Fourways Mall reach out to the Dainfern Lions players in an attempt to make their futures brighter than their pasts
Vodacom is the proud new sponsor of the Dainfern Lions, a football community in Fourways, made up of various race, language and age groups, who all share a love and a passion for football.
Vodacom has launched a new initiative to create new skills and work experiences for some of the willing young athletes. “This initiative will train the people in Vodacom Rica and prepaid departments. They will learn valuable selling skills that will not only help them now but also in any future sales position,” said Gerhard van Buuren, who is leading the new project.
Van Buuren explained that this new venture is important because it will create new opportunities for people from previously disadvantaged communities. “We care about the whole Fourways community and thus would like to reach out to them all. Helping the community, teaching them and learning will only help this great community to grow,” said Van Buuren.
“After the players have successfully completed the training they will be sent into their communities to promote Vodacom and sell prepaid starter packs. They will also have the opportunity to work in one of our stores.”
