Dainfern Lions Football Club congratulates players

DAINFERN – Dainfern Lions Football Club growing in strength.

 

Dainfern Lions Football Club congratulated their U12 players Colby Sinclair and Ilan Ben-Attar who were selected to play for the Gauteng District Team at the Donosti Cup in Spain in July.

“Well done to all of you champions, we are very proud of this achievement. Our club is busy moulding champions and we thank all the coaches for their great work and passion towards the performance of the players,” chairperson of the club, Nic Papas said.

He added that the new season had kicked off and they welcome all newcomers to the club. “The kids are excited and the competitiveness amongst them is clear already. We have quite a number of five-, six- and seven-year-olds that have joined and that is fantastic. We call this age group the Dainfern Cubs,” he said.

Papas added that the players were a pleasure to watch. “The Dainfern Lionesses are growing in numbers each week and we encourage parents to send their girls aged eight to 16 to the club and let us get girl power going,” he quipped.
