Dainfern Lions Football Club produces superstars once again

Two star players of Dainfern Lions Football Club recently participated in the South African Football Association (Safa) Tournament.

 

Four players of Dainfern Lions Football Club were selected for regional teams which participated in the South African Football Association Tournament.

Regional teams consisting of about 150 players from around the country participated in the three-day tournament.

Two of the club’s U10 star players who were selected for the regional team were striker, Keanin Louw and goalkeeper Colby Sinclair. The other two players selected were Rio Stilwell who played in the U11 division and Sikuyo Makhaye in the U15s.

Dainfern Lions Football club’s chairperson, Nic Papas said, “We as a team would like to thank the sponsors for their generous sponsorships which among other things allowed 40 disadvantaged children from Diepsloot to participate in the senior teams at the football club,” Papas said.

“Without these sponsorships the children would definitely be in the streets and seeing that this year’s season has ended, the registration for next year will open on 1 December.”
