Tour de Diepsloot

DIEPSLOOT - The Johannesburg Urban Cyclists Association invites all to join on a cycle tour of Diepsloot to raise awareness of cycling as a mode of transport on 8 November.

EMBRACING ALTERNATIVE MODES OF TRANSPORT: David du Preez, chair of Johannesburg Urban Cyclists Association (Juca); Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Ismail Vadi; Njogu Morgan, secretary at Juca; and cyclists from Diepsloot embark on a cycle train to work earlier this year.

Attendees can expect a fun morning on wheels while getting to experience some of the local flavour. The ride will be an easy 6.6km ride as a group, with the slowest rider setting the pace.

The ride will end with a grand opening of the Diepsloot Arts Precinct, and attendees will have a chance to meet the passionate Diepsloot artists who have put it together.

Riders will meet at Diepsloot Mall, William Nicol Drive at 9am.

Safe parking will be available.
