Schools invited to football academy

SANDTON - Football Development Academy is a football organisation created to encourage pupils to participate in a friendly competition in the district of Sandton.

Members of the academy are qualified sport management graduates who have been involved in sports development in communities before. “We, the soccer loving people of the Republic of South Africa, undoubtedly represent a large part of our population within the sports federation,” said Sandile Gama, a director at the academy.

“We are trying to bring something fresh and unique in the area of Sandton. With that being said, the organisation has decided to create a round robin league tournament for primary school pupils and we would like to invite schools to be a part of this great initiative.”

The academy’s premier league is created for primary school pupils who are interested in football. “This will give kids an opportunity to shine and be recognised,” added Gama.

He said the academy wanted to create a competitive tournament for primary schools which would be run professionally like a league.

Any schools interested in this initiative are encouraged to contact the Football Development Academy.
