A sponsored, registered soccer club emerges in Dainfern
DAINFERN -YOUNG soccer enthusiasts who reside in Diepsloot and Dainfern stand to benefit from an up-and-coming and well-sponsored club, Dainfern Lions.
Club chairman, Nic Papas, sent out a call this week appealing to potential players aged between 16 and 20 to go and register to play for his club at Dainfern Estate.
“I encourage whoever wants their child to come and play, to do so,” said Papas.
The club is sponsored by Auto & General Insurance which made it possible for 40 young players to play for the football club this season.
“We are affiliated to the Rand Central Football League which practises daily and stage league matches on Saturdays and Sundays,” said Papas.
Dainfern Lions is the only official football club in Fourways.
