Momentum Million Rand Challenge

JOBURG - Tee off and stand a chance to be a winner in The Momentum Million Rand Challenge.

On the first Saturday of every month, between 9am and 12pm, you can have a chance to qualify for the final shootout to win R1 million in a Momentum investment by simply hitting a hole in one.

For any golfer, the Holy Grail is always this elusive shot. It can take a lifetime and, for some, it may never happen. According to statistics, scoring a hole in one is a real challenge. Based on data taken from the National Hole In One Association, an amateur golfer’s chance of this shot is only 12 500 to 1.

On the first Saturday of June, the challenge took place at Woodmead Momentum World of Golf and was attended by cricket players from The Unlimited Titans and member of the bizhub Highveld Lions. The event was also attended by former Proteas captain, Graeme Smith, who is the ambassador of Momentum. Other cricket players who attended included Dean Elgar, Henry Davids, Hardus Viljoen and Stephen Cook.

Smith said, “We had a great day aiming for that hole in one and I think few of the guys made the cut and will be in for a chance in August. Everyone who scores a hole in one at the final will get R1 million from Momentum in the form of an appropriate investment.

“Being able to set aside that kind of windfall will be massive in securing your lifelong financial wellness.”

Momentum wellness programme’s Multiply members will get 10 free shots on competition days, while everyone else will have one free chance for the million each Saturday. If anyone wants more chances, they can SMS 38137. The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18. Full terms and conditions are available on the Momentum website.

There are more chances to qualify for the Momentum R1m Challenge on 4 July at the Momentum World of Golf in Woodmead and other Momentum Golf Villages. The final will be held in August.
