Fourways Glamour Boys scoop Kappa award
Kyalami - THE Glamour Boys from Fourways scooped up the R5 000 Kappa award for the five-aside tournament which was staged at Kappa Park in Kyalami on 9 May.
They beat the Soccer Warriors 4-2 in a highly-contested match which was packed with sporting action.
Soccer Warriors were crowned second champion and walked away with Kappa attire worth R2 500.
West United from Kyalami came third and bagged a prize comprising still water from Aquavita.
The Africa United organised event was sponsored by Kappa.
Wayne Cilliers of Africa United said the tournament was designed to provide sporting facilities to the Fourways communities.
“We want to encourage sporting activities in the area,” said Cilliers.
Cilliers said they intend to continue staging the tournament every two months, adding that the next one will be in August.
