Kappa launches tournament in Kyalami

KYALAMI - KYALAMI will be abuzz with sports action this weekend as soccer organisation Africa United launches a football tournament.

The Kappa-sponsored event is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday where 16 local teams are registered to participate.

Wayne Cilliers of Africa United announced that the winning team will walk away with R5 000, second placed winners will be awarded Kappa sports clothing, and third place will recieve still mineral water.

“The idea is to give residents an opportunity to be involved in sports by improving sports facilities,” said Cilliers.

Africa United was founded in 2006 by Cilliers and his partner Paul Pretto, builds synthetic turf sports facilities for schools and commercial clients. Cilliers said Kappa Park Kyalami took two months to build, adding that the sports facility was ready for a tournament kick-off on Saturday.

Cilliers is calling upon Kyalami residents to form teams and register their participation before Saturday. Those intending to participate can contact Rachel Perrin.
