GLENFERNESS – Pride in budding swimming athletes at Cedarwood School is at an all-time high since two of its pupils excelled at their respective swimming events.

“We would like to congratulate Grade 5 pupil, Joshua Richardson, for receiving three gold and for silver medals at the Central Gauteng gala held at Ellis Park earlier this month,” said spokesperson for the school, Dawn Schmitz.

Richardson received first place for 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle, while coming second in the 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle and 200m individual medley.

“We also have another budding swimmer, Grade 5 pupil Jesse Newman, who took three second place titles at the Electric Eels Swimming Club gala held at Ellis Park recently.”

Newman took second place for freestyle, backstroke and butterfly.
