World-class polo weekend just a hop and a skip away

JOBURG - Polo South Africa is proud to announce that the Polo International Horse Trials 2014 will take place in Kyalami from 3 to 5 October.

This equestrian event promises to be exciting for those who enjoy the thrill of the sport. It is a 5km cross-country of jumping tracks, and riders and their horses will be challenged with a series of obstacle courses.

South African rider and Polo International Horse Trials 2013 winner, Hayley Parker will be taking a break from her international campaign to host course walks and co-present a television programme.

Recently qualified at the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials to compete at the highest level, Parker received great praise for her performance. She will bring her experience and expertise to the event.

The picturesque Inanda Country Base provides the perfect location for such an event. Spectators will be able to enjoy the festivities in the Polo Chill area situated within the water complex. There will be activities such as art jamming, water slides and pony rides for children. The 2014 Pink Pony Brunch will also cater to invitees and VIPs who will have the chance to see the launch of the POLO Spring/Summer 2014 range.

A new addition to the trials, the 5km Pink Pony Walkathon will be held to promote breast cancer awareness. This promises to be a fun family walk that starts at 8am on the polo field. The walk is open to all ages and all pets on a leash. There will be prizes to be won for participating walkers.
