Run for fun – and against crime
DOUGLASDALE - Time for the fourth annual Douglasdale Community Police Forum Sector 1 Fun Run, and the challenge is on.
Douglasdale CPF Sector 1 will hold its annual Fun Run at Cooper College in Jukskei Park on 14 September.
The community is invited to rise to the occasion and join in because registration is now open.
Active souls can participate in the 5km or 10km run, while those who prefer a more leisurely pace can choose to opt for the 5km walk.
Douglasdale CPF Sector 1 have officially challenged the Douglasdale Police Station to a 10km running race, to establish who is fitter – the community or the police. In the past, the CPF has won the event twice, and the police have won once. Bets are on to see who will triumph this year.
