Park Run launches in Lonehill

This free, weekly, timed 5km course is for all runners and walkers.

Fordyce said, “In just over two years we now have over 75 000 registered parkrunners in South Africa who have completed over 1 million recorded kilometres in pleasant parkland surroundings.”

Manned solely by volunteers to encourage the enjoyment of running, the event will take place every Saturday morning at 8am at the Lonehill Park dam.

Participants must pre-register only once on the parkrun website to get their unique barcode which will be scanned at the end of the run to record their times every week online.
