I want to comment about the reduction of the speed limit on Kyalami Main Road. I think it is ridiculous because if it is not policed then drivers are still going to drive fast.

I am sure that in the accidents which are mostly at night, the drivers were not driving 80km/h and will not be driving 60km/h from now on. It does not help to put a speed trap with hidden cops either because if you are speeding, then you will get caught and pay a fine.

However, the fact remains that the driver is still speeding. If there was more visibility by traffic officials, then drivers would drive more carefully and obey the rules and the road would become safer for all motorists. We need to see more traffic officials on all our roads.
Dropping the speed limit without proper policing is stupid.
