Hospital car theft woes continue

Linda Grant an employee at the Life Fourways Hospital writes: It is with great interest that I read your article Not so nice way to end 2014, regarding the vehicle theft at the Life Fourways Hospital.

I am a nurse employed there and on 3 January my Toyota RunX was stolen from the staff parking lot at the back of the building. It was I who requested that the security ask the drivers of all vehicles leaving the lot to switch off and restart their engines.

Even showing keys in the ignition is not enough as they [the thieves] shove any keys in the ignition. The hospital has asked all staff to park in the front over weekends as there aren’t security guards at the back over weekends.

Other than that there have been no changes. The hospital takes no responsibility. I have been working there for three years, and the security people know me and my car.
