Dainfern College achieves a whopping 100% pass in both IEB and Cambridge A-level academic streams
Executive head at the school congratulated matric class of 2022 for achieving a whopping 100 percent pass rate.
Dainfern College hosted a breakfast on January 18 to celebrate its superb matric results for both IEB and Cambridge A-level for the Class of 2022.
This was after the school achieved a 100% matric pass in both IEB and Cambridge A-level academic streams.
Learners, parents and teachers celebrated the learners’ milestone achievement.
Lukas Esterhuizen achieved seven distinctions in the IEB stream for Afrikaans, business studies, English, information technology, life orientation, mathematics and physical sciences. He said, “I am very happy to achieve these results today. The support I received from my family and teachers at school really helped me achieve these great results. It wasn’t an easy journey but with a lot of hard work, I managed to make it. I am looking forward to a new challenge at the tertiary level.”
Executive head at the school JC Engelbrecht congratulated the matrics for achieving a 100% pass rate.
“The impact of lockdown and the Covid-19 pandemic was mostly felt by the Class of 2022. Their start of the FET phase in Grade 10 in 2020 was marred by the outbreak of the pandemic and they had to do classes online. They had to deal with a radically different kind of education,” Engelbrecht said.
“We are really proud of our matric Class of 2022 and what they’ve achieved. We also want to thank parents who supported us in this journey and ensured that our learners received all the support they needed during their academic journey.”
