Last year, the idle Drive 2 Unite has hosted a charity initiative which is a mass custom car, bike and 4×4 run collected over 6 000 sanitary pads for girls from schools in previously disadvantaged areas. This year through the same initiative and their partners, idle Auto Expo, JMPD, Department of Education, and Pandae they plan to exceed 10 000 sanitary pads.

Tiamara said, “Through the vehicle run we manage to create a huge amount of awareness where over 200 of these exquisite vehicles drive in a convoy all around Johannesburg on the national highway escorted by JMPD. The vehicles will eventually make their way to the Monetcasino events area where they will be on display for free public viewing.

“We encourage the Fourways community to come out in full force; come view the awesome vehicles on display and most importantly, support this initiative by donating a minimum of three packs of sanitary pads. There will be a collection point in the events area which will be open to the public from 11:00 until 15:00.”

This event promises to be an inspiring and impactful day, bringing together a community of people who care about making a difference. She said community members and the public at large have many options to support this initiative.

“If you own a custom car, bike, 4×4, supercar, superbike, or if you would like your car club to join the run, you are welcome. The public can visit the Montecasino events area from 11:00–15:00 to donate pads and view the awesome vehicles on display. You can volunteer your service for the day.
