The Zip Zap circus returns

The Zip-Zap Circus is returning by popular demand to the Teatro at Montecasino to share MOYA with Johannesburg!

The Zip Zap circus is returning to Johannesburg after a successful tour of Europe earlier this year.

Their South African homecoming to the Teatro at Montecasino is to share the show MOYA with Johannesburg audiences from August 31 to September 10.
MOYA – which means spirit – encapsulates not only the spirit of Zip Zap’s proudly South African roots but also tells the story of this non-profit organisation. The show tells the story of how a sense of belonging can change the narrative of the youth of this country. At the centre of the tale in the show, we find Trompie (Jacobus Claassen) whose narrative reflects the transformative power of the circus.

According to the CoLab Network’s Collett Dawson, Zip Zap attendants ought to expect to be amazed by flawless displays of aerial skills, a masterclass in juggling, as well as a thrilling acrobatic wheel routine, in addition to the show which will take audiences along on a thrilling journey like no other.

“This revamped run of the mesmerizing MOYA will be a foot-stomping, heart-warming event, featuring heart-pounding performances which will leave you on the edge of your seat,” said Dawson. “The show has been infused with new life, new acts and completely new music.”
