Keller Williams' annual Renew, Energise, and Donate charity day gives back to Witkoppen Primary School.

Keller Williams Explore (KW) Renew, Energise, and Donate (Red) Day takes over Witkoppen Primary School. The annual Red Day tradition gives back to the communities and is commemorated every year in honour of Keller Williams’ vice chairman, Mo Anderson’s birthday.

This year the KW initiative highlights Witkoppen Primary School. KW Explore decided to help refurbish the school and cater to the children by donating a new door for one of the Grade R classes, 1 200 plastic plates, 10 plastic tables, 40 plastic chairs, and 5l containers of various paints for the classrooms.

“We’ve been doing this for nine years now. Red Day is our way of giving back to our communities every year, both internationally and locally. Every year we select different charities and communities that we choose to support, then on Red Day all our agents down their tools and get involved with their communities,” said Shawn Armer, operating principal at Keller Williams Explorer.

“This year we decided to take up Witkoppen Primary School as our ongoing project. We’ve seen a big need here for some touch-ups, and our company values are God, family, then business, and it’s about these values – hence we give back and stay involved with the communities.”

Witkoppen Primary School principal Philemon Mashimbyi expressed deep gratitude and showed appreciation to the company. “This is amazing and we are really grateful to KW Explore for identifying, renovating, and donating to our school. They brought some tables and chairs for our Grade R learners, they are renovating our space and we are grateful to them. We really appreciate their time and effort to make our space better.”

The Witkoppen Primary School Red Day as an ongoing project is in partnership with Blue Unicorn, Chamberlain, and Universal Paints, among others, and it aims to highlight the extraordinary impact a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team. The KW Explore initiative rebuilds homes, refurbishes local parks, gives to local food shelters, hosts blood drives, and many more projects that are individually chosen based on a need identified in a community.
