Jenny wraps community in love
Jenny started a business called Wrapped In Love. She chose to manufacture it herself rather than import it after seeing a moving letter printed on a fleece blanket.
A Fourways resident was inspired to start her own business after having trouble finding a present for her daughter’s 16th birthday.
After seeing a moving message printed on a fleece blanket in 2021, Jenny Panayiotou chose to make a similar blanket for her daughter, rather than import it. Panayiotou had lost her income during Covid-19 and the blanket inspired her to start her business Wrapped In Love.
Wrapped In Love specialises in fleece blankets. They can do any printing from fabric, personalised duvet covers, curtains, and scatter cushions with feather inners.
Panayioutou said that her business is a very personal one as she deals with sentimental images and messages. She takes care to give them the respect they deserve.
“Memories are precious and when printed in the form of photographs on these luxurious blankets it’s like getting a soft, warm hug from a loved one. It may just be fabric and ink, but the magic happens when they collide and when receiving them from people often burst into tears,” she said.
Noreen Stranack, a local resident and one of Panayioutou’s clients, has lost track of how many blankets she had ordered. She explained Panayiotou only used the highest-quality, durable, and washable cloth.
“I have ordered a bunch of blankets, Panayioutou always designs them and makes them with such love. The blanket I had made for myself has been on road trips to ice hockey and the list is endless. Just wash and it is perfect again,’’ said Stranack.
Taryn Schmidt who also bought a fleece blanket from Wrapped In Love shared a review on Facebook. “I had two blankets made for my bestie’s birthdays. They are absolutely amazing warm and soft. Both of them loved their birthday gifts and can now be wrapped with only a few of the memories we shared so far.”
Schmidt added that Panayioutou is ‘amazing and so helpful’ to get the blankets done perfectly for each person and she will definitely be getting more.
Her client testimonials all speak to the high level of service she offers and the lengths she goes to, to make sure each order gets her personal attention.
