Police arrest 109 suspects for various crimes including murder
The suspects are expected to appear at the Randburg and Roodepoort Magistrate's courts soon.
Police from eight police stations (Douglasdale, Diepsloot, Randburg, Honeydew, Cosmo City, Linden, Florida and Roodepoort) arrested 109 suspects for varying crimes.
Captain Mpho Tshetlhane of Douglasdale Police Station said that 18 of the suspects were arrested for contravention of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) during an operation which was held in Douglasdale on January 20.

The remaining suspects were arrested for crimes ranging from murder, fraud, business robbery, possession of drugs, dealing in liquor without license, assault with the intent to cause gross bodily harm, dealing in drugs, contravention of Immigration Act Section 49(1), shoplifting, theft, assault common to driving under influence of alcohol .
The arrested suspects will appear at Randburg and Roodepoort Magistrate’s courts soon .
