Curro School Riverside archer scoops silver medal in the South African National Archery competition

Grade 5 learner at Curro School Riverside hopes for gold in future archery competitions

Grade 5 learner and archery team member at Curro School Riverside, Pieter Fourie said he was pleased with his achievement in the South African Archery competition.

He said continuous practice, hard work and dedication to the sport have helped him become a better archer.

The 13-year-old learner added, “I am happy that I managed to get silver overall at the South African National Archery competition. I look forward to the next competition and becoming one of the best archers in the country.”

His coach Lerato Mudubu said Pieter started archery last year. “Pieter is a dedicated, enthusiastic archer who practises tirelessly to achieve his archery goals and sets personal goals for every competition. In doing so, Pieter has achieved great personal heights and has his eye set on achieving his dream as an archer representing South Africa,” Mudubu said.
