While dressed in floral finery, the attendees indulged in sweet delights and warm camaraderie, making the day a vibrant celebration of spring’s renewal and the power of female connection.

The high tea event also served as a fundraising initiative to support the organisation’s cancer awareness campaigns and various community-driven projects, aimed at making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

“This was our first high tea event and the support was great. We have invited various guests such as Lindie Liebenberg being a cancer warrior as well and had 54 chemotherapy treatments. We have collaborated with her and she came out to share her story with other women.”

Singh emphasised the importance of hosting such events, citing the alarming number of people who remain misinformed or unaware about cancer, and the need for increased awareness and education to address this gap.

“I also survived breast cancer and even though I am a cancer advocate, every day is a learning experience for me. I have learned only one and not even the 99% of cancer because there is a lot to be learnt. We have acknowledge all kinds of cancer at the organisation during our support groups both male and female, young and old and all races because cancer does not choose.”
