They embarked on a journey of discovery, taking the texture walk, which delighted their senses and sparked their curiosity. The specially designed path, featuring a variety of textures such as sand, feathers, coloured rice, and shredded paper, allowed the toddlers to experience a range of sensations underfoot.

“Sensory exploration is a crucial aspect of early childhood development. It helps toddlers make sense of their surroundings by allowing them to touch, feel, and interact with different materials.

“Sensory experiences, like the texture walk, help our children develop essential skills, including fine motor control, grasping, pinching, and manipulating various objects as they navigate the path. But most importantly, it’s a fun and engaging way for them to learn and grow,” said Bianca Durrant, school principal.

By embracing sensory exploration, these tiny tots are taking their first steps toward a lifelong journey of discovery and growth.
