He attributes his passion for amapiano music to his upbringing in the lively township of Diepsloot, where the music seemed to flow through the streets like lifeblood. This inspired him to share stories of hope and celebrate his culture through his music.

“I feel like I’m showing the world what we’re about through my music. It’s not just about playing music, it’s about sharing our energy, our stories, and our way of life. It’s a big responsibility because people look up to you, so you must represent your community right. I want to make sure the world sees the good vibes and creativity that come from the township.”

The captivating beat he produces has also transformed the nightlife scene in Fourways. It has now become impossible for fans to resist the urge to be part of the vibrant atmosphere that he creates during his performances.

“When I play, I want people to feel like they’re right there in the township. It’s about capturing that energy, that passion for life, and putting it into the music. I want my audience to dance, to smile, to forget their worries, and just enjoy the moment. It’s like bringing a piece of the township to the stage and sharing it with everyone.”

When asked what inspired him to become a DJ, and how he developed his unique sound, he said the answer is pretty much simple – Home.

“We love parties and get-togethers. There’s always loud music. I didn’t know I’d love music so much, but I always ended up near the DJs, watching them play their sets. Before I knew it, I was playing short sets at these parties. And guess what? Everyone started liking my music. I never looked back since.”

He has also had the opportunity to work with the rich and famous including entertainment industry giants like Naak Musiq, Zodwa Wabantu, and Oskido.

He said that even though working with different artists is always a new adventure, there are challenges in between.

“I’ve been lucky because all the artists I’ve worked with have made the journey of working with them smooth, and came with lessons, and above all else, it improved my fanbase. That’s the best part of it all.”

He is currently busy cooking new music. He said fans can expect a single and an EP soon.

“I’m always learning new things and trying out new ideas to get better at what I do. I hope one day I can teach others what I know so they don’t have to struggle like I did.”
