This initiative is a shining example of the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of empathy, generosity, and collective action among its students, according to the school’s Pule Letshweni.

He said by supporting Food for Life and MES, the students are helping to address pressing social issues in their community, such as food insecurity and homelessness.

“Food for Life is renowned for providing nutritious meals to vulnerable communities, ensuring that individuals have access to food security and sustenance. While MES on the other hand, focuses on offering holistic support to homeless and at-risk individuals, empowering them through shelter, skills development, and rehabilitation programs.”

The charitable drive encourages donations of essential items, including food supplies, toiletries, and other necessities that will benefit the beneficiaries served by Food for Life and MES.

“We are thrilled to give back to our community,” said Amika Langerfield, dean of operations at Nova Pioneer Paulshof.

“Our students are eager to make a difference and support Food for Life and MES, who are doing tremendous work helping those less fortunate.

“This initiative not only provides vital support to those in need but also instills valuable life skills in the students, such as empathy, kindness, and social responsibility.”

Letsweni said, “by engaging in this charitable initiative, the students are demonstrating their commitment to creating positive change in their community. This initiative serves as a testament to the power of collective action and the impact that can be made when individuals come together to support a common cause.”

He believes that the school’s efforts to inspire a culture of giving back to the community will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the students and the beneficiaries of the charities involved.

“As the students continue to grow and develop, they will carry the values of empathy, kindness, and social responsibility with them. This makes a positive difference in the world around them. The initiative is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of giving back and making a difference.”
