Proudly SA wine expo boasts and toasts to local talent

Wine lovers palates tickled in a fulfilling way during a wine expo hosted to promote local brands at Prison Break Market.

The Proudly South African Local Wine Expo became a huge hit. From July 26–28, wine lovers flocked to the Prison Break Market with excitement as over 70% of the talented local winemakers displayed their best vintages and the ladies stole the show.

Retailers and winemakers mingled like old friends during the dedicated buying session, securing shelf space for these amazing local wines.

And, because who doesn’t love a good competition, the ‘Own Your Drink’ challenge had attendees exploring and sipping their way through the diverse offerings to add to the fun.

By day two, many brands were sold out, showing the growing love for high-quality, homegrown wines.

Proudly SA CEO Eustace Mashimbye was beaming with pride. He said, “The expo showcased the strength and promise of our fantastic local wine industry. Cheers to that!”
