Foundation celebrates Mandela Day with community renovation project

The Starfish Greathearts Foundation celebrated Mandela Day with a lot of activities at a centre.

The Starfish Greathearts Foundation which supports orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa, celebrated Mandela Day with a heartwarming community renovation project.
The event brought together more than 60 community members, volunteers, and supporters, all dedicated to honouring Nelson Mandela’s legacy on July 18.

The project involved renovating a community-based organisation centre (CBO) in Tembisa. The newly launched CBO aims to provide comprehensive support and resources to orphaned and vulnerable children, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.
Poonam Dwarkaram, the operations manager of the foundation said, “Mandela Day is a time to put Nelson Mandela’s values into action.

“We are thrilled to see the community come together to make a tangible difference. The community-based organisation’s project embodies our commitment to creating supportive and nurturing environments for vulnerable children.”
Dwarkaram added the success of the event was made possible by the generosity of their partners, sponsors, and volunteers.
